Tastemaker Network
For venues

A curated network of credible voices, placed in your room.

Honest reviews and thoughtful content from people whose feeds are worth following — invited, not paid. The kind of conversation a campaign can't buy.

The problem

Traditional influencer marketing is broken for small, interesting venues.

High friction.

Negotiating individually with influencers, chasing deliverables, no consistent voice.

Low trust.

Generic content from people with no real point of view rarely moves anyone.

Weak ROI.

Spend goes up. Conversions don't. You can't measure what you can't believe.

What you get

What every engagement includes.

Honest feedback.

Curated tastemakers experience your venue and tell you what actually works. The bad notes are as valuable as the good ones, and they reach you before they reach a feed.

Public, credible content.

Every visit closes with one honest review and one social post on TikTok, Lemon8, or Instagram — from a real person whose feed is worth following, in their own voice.

Repeat conversation.

Authentic public conversation that compounds. Your venue stays in rotation across a network of credible voices, not a one-off campaign blip.

A clean loop.

We brief tastemakers, schedule visits, verify the work, and send everything over to you. You host. We handle the rest.

The flow

From brief to posted review, on repeat.

  1. 01

Tell us what you want talked about.

A new tasting menu, a quiet weeknight, a refreshed bar program. We brief tastemakers like a thoughtful PR partner would.

  2. 02

We match curated voices to your venue.

From the network, we select tastemakers whose audience, palate, and platform fit what you're doing.

  3. 03

    They visit, talk, and review.

Hosted tasting for the tastemaker and one guest. In return: one honest review, plus one social post on the platform that fits best.

  4. 04

    We close the loop.

Every placement signed off, every review and post sent over to you, ready to share.

Curation runs both ways

We say no a lot.

We only work with venues and ideas we can stand behind. If we can't stand behind it, no tastemaker in our network will either — and we'd rather lose a placement than burn that trust.

If you run an interesting restaurant or bar and want a credible media layer around it, tell us about the place.

Venue FAQ

The questions every operator actually asks.

No fluff. The answers we'd give you on a call, written down.

How much does it cost?

We share commercial terms after the first conversation. Pricing depends on cadence, how many tastemakers per cycle, and the kind of brief — a single launch reads differently from an ongoing programme. There is no public price list because there is no one-size-fits-all engagement.

How is this different from working with influencers directly?

You’re not negotiating fees, briefing each creator, or chasing deliverables. We’ve already qualified the people we send you, we brief them so they arrive informed, and we close the loop on what landed. The tastemakers aren’t paid by us or by you — they’re invited, in exchange for honest public conversation. That’s the whole bet.

The longer argument lives in Influencer marketing has failed.

Can we vet who visits?

Yes. We won’t send anyone to your venue before you’ve seen their profile. You can pass on anyone for any reason, no explanation needed. We’d rather lose a match than burn trust on either side.

What if a tastemaker writes something critical?

That’s the deal — and it’s the value. We place people whose honest take has weight, which means the take has to be honest. A thoughtful seven-out-of-ten from a credible voice is worth more than a paid ten-out-of-ten nobody trusts, and it gives you something to act on.

We brief tastemakers to flag real issues to us before they go public. If something went wrong on the night, we sort it with you first — most of the time it’s a service blip, not a real signal.

How do you pick tastemakers for our venue?

We match on palate (do they actually like the kind of food and drink you’re doing), audience (does their feed reach the people you want walking through the door), and platform (is your room more TikTok or more Lemon8 in feel). Every match is reviewed by a human before you see it.

We’ve written out the 90-second signal we use in How to find credible food creators.

How do you measure outcomes?

We don’t optimise for reach. We optimise for good content from credible voices. What you get from us is the work itself: who we placed, the reviews and posts that ran, and the content in your feed. We don’t pretend to be an attribution dashboard.

What's the time commitment from our team?

A 30-minute kick-off call so we can brief tastemakers properly. After that, you’re hosting them the way you’d host any thoughtful guest. We handle scheduling, briefing, follow-up, and reporting.

How fast can we start?

Once terms are agreed and we’ve been briefed, first visits typically happen within three to four weeks. We’d rather take an extra week to match the right voices than rush a placement that won’t land.

Two paths

Run a venue worth talking about? Or a feed worth following?

The network is curated in both directions. We don't onboard every venue, and we don't onboard every creator.
